Noise profiles

Posted by Daniel Marmander at October 14. 2009
It would be nice to have the possibility to save noise settings. That way it would be possible to use country-specific noise regulations easier.

A set of pre-defined noise settings would be the next step to include, perhaps created by users different countries. :)

Tell me more. Can it be incorporated into the current ISO 9613 model?

Yes it can. What I mean is that the settings which can be changed, should be possible to save.

In WindPRO there are pre-defined noise settings. For example, the air absorption are to be set different in different countries.

I could supply you with some of the pre defined values.

Of course, there are countries that does not use the ISO 6913 model at all, but as a start it would be ok to focus on the ones that do use it, since it's the most common.

A related thing, just fyi. I noticed that the ground porosity was inverted compared to WindPRO (1 is 0 and 0 is 1). I don't know what's right and wrong, I just thought that it might be good to know.

(Sorry if I refer a lot to WindPRO, but it has some nice features.... it's just too bad that it's as unstable as antimatter)
