Does ZVI calculation take into account terrain elevation?

Posted by Giuseppe Manca at February 11. 2010

I'm performing various ZVI calculations with openwind, but it doesn't seem to take into account the site orography: for istance: if I have a hill higher than the turbines at, say, 8 km from the site, ZVI calculated behind that hill doesn't take into account the presence of the hill itself: it looks like ZVI calculations are ignoring the site orography, or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Thank you,

GM
