Impossible to create raster from logic (versions 480 and 496)

Posted by Antonio Clemente Gimeno at June 03. 2010

When I try to create a raster from logic with the new OpenWind versions (480 and 496), it demands infinite memory (74999997975.000015 MB), even if it is the most simple raster you can imagine (just a polygon, where the turbines should be in). This doesn't happen with older versions (437, for instance). In this case, OpenWind only needs about 1MB.

I tried this and its not as simple as you describe. It doesn't happen for me when I use my workbooks. What I think has happened is that your openWind workbook thinks your site is (way) larger than it is. I will look into this but I suspect that remaking your workbook will fix the issue just now.

Hey Antonio,

It is fixed in the next release. In the meantime, try adding a WRG to your site layer (as parent or child) and then try calculating the validity raster. This should work around the issue.
