generating tab files

Posted by Edward at June 09. 2009

Hi,

I'll apologize in advance for my 'novice-ness' - i'm very new to this industry.  i come from more of a software engineering background and I'm trying to get some 10-minute met tower/mast data converted into the required wasp-tab file format.  I cant' seem to find any definitions for it (as i was for the wasp-wrg).  Basically, I have a bunch of towers with plenty of juicy data, but I can't figure out to how to get them into openWind (short of the $$$ required for wasp).  Looking at the file it appears to be something that can be programmatically generated from the data that I have if i understood the format.  There is a reference in another post (somewhere on these boards) about a utility on the Risoe site - which I can't find.  Does anyone where the format definition is online anywhere? Or, if it's not too much trouble, could someone let me know what it is?

I should warn you all that this is likely the first of many many (silly?) questions :)

Thanks,

Edward

ahh... of course less than 24 hours after my post I was able to
locate what I needed in the wasp online help pages...  In case it
spares anyone else needs it there is valuable information there:

Silly me; not sure why I couldn't find it before
