Hello everyone, as you're hopefully gathering from this website, OpenWIND is a new piece of software which we are intending to release in the near future. It is intended to greatly facilitate the design of wind farms by integrating GIS data and allowing users to build up logical relations within that data.

Just now we're at an early testing stage and if you've been directed to this website you're probably someone who we've asked to test the software. Please make use of the forums here to ask questions. In this way, we will gradually build up a database of useful information regarding how to use OpenWIND as well as allowing consensus to evolve within the testing community as to directions for the software.

I will be regularly updating the executable on the download page. Whenever I do I will post here to let you know. During testing there will be no backwards compatibility for OpenWIND workbooks so please bear this in mind  in terms of structuring your data and whenever you decide to download a new executable.

Have fun testing and please let me know what you find.

Nick
