New version addresses problems with ASC reading and True North
Please download this latest release. It addresses a recent bug that crept into ASC reading as well as improving the rasterising of SiteLayer constraints when there is no WRG in the SiteLayer hierarchy.
A major addition is the ability to correct from Grid North to True North. OpenWind only supports the UTM projection (although it will convert from geographic coordinates to UTM on import/export). Near the edge of a UTM zone, and especially at northern latitudes, grid North can diverge significantly from true North. OpenWind now has the capacity to calculate this divergence (strangely enough referred to as a convergence angle) and apply it to Elliptical turbine separation distances, MetMastLayers, and WRGs. Depending on how your TAB file or WRG were created, you may wish to apply none, one or all of these corrections. In addition to the checkboxes in the individual SiteLayer/MetMastLayer/WRGLayer there is a master switch in the Global settings so you can easily see the effect of these corrections.
Please report ALL bugs and crashes. If can't report a bug on the forums due to commercial sensitivity, feel free to contact me directly.
