Unlock the Power of Wind Farm Design with AWS Truewind’s openWind Seminar on May 8th in Chicago
ALBANY, New York. (April 3, 2009) Albany‐based AWS Truewind, LLC, an international leader in renewable energy consulting, today announced that it will host the first installment of its openWind Seminar Series: Unlocking the Power of Wind Farm Design on Friday, May 8th directly following the annual AWEA WINDPOWER Conference and Trade Show.
AWS Truewind’s openWind Seminar Series is designed to provide wind resource analysts with a unique opportunity to gain in-depth insight into the technical and theoretical aspects of AWS Truewind’s innovative wind farm design and optimization software. Seminar participants will benefit from an interactive format and open exchange with openWind Director, Nick Robinson and AWS Truewind Modeling Group Manager, Kevin Denman.
openWind was officially unveiled at the CanWEA Conference and Trade Show last October in Vancouver, BC. “Since our initial release we have made great strides to position the software as a viable solution for commercial wind project development,” says Robinson. “This seminar will equip experienced wind resource analysts, academics and engineers with prior knowledge and experience in wind farm design and optimization with the tools necessary to begin reaping the benefits of this innovative, open-source platform. It is our hope that this seminar will further encourage users to engage in the openWind community and bring the project to the next level,” adds Robinson.
AWS Truewind leveraged 25 years of knowledge and expertise in advanced computer modeling and project engineering to bring the next generation of wind farm design and optimization solutions to the market.
